help

I may participate in an open mic thingy in a couple weeks. It's a friend's deal and, well, he'll probably give me a cupcake if I show up. But I need your help.

1) talk me out of it
2) help me pick a blog post to read* (I'll do some tweaking)

in that order.

Thank you.

* unfortunately, I think it needs to be one of mine.

I think you need to do the one about having cake parties for other people's birthdays. I still think that is one of the best ideas ever!!

PS - when and where might this take place? My family vaca is the week of the 9th. Technically, I don't think it's really "The Cape" because it's Sagamore. But still, closer then I am right now!

I'm partial to a Chicken post or the one with the trout tower pic with all the things added to it and the wiity responses it brought.

I went and looked at the Trout Towers post and you'd need all those visual aids from the post but what did I see from last Jan but two other gems. The Bichon vs Bison one and the Toothfairy being a little creepy post.

Not about to talk you out of it. I love the one where you talk about motherhood. But I don't know if you want to be that intense?

D'you want friends in the audience or would you rather speak to strangers? I avoid going out after dark, (reverse vampirism?) but for you I would make an exception.

I like the chickens too.

most of your blogs are too short for a truly good reading. so i guess you will have to pick a theme like the chickens or home projects or sugarplum...(the mom in me always loves those) and read a few, like more than two. and l'd love to come so i'm not going to talk you out of it.
